Eb major 11th chord
Ebmaj11 chord for piano with keyboard diagram.
Explanation: The E flat major eleventh is a six-note chord. For practical reasons the chord is normally played with omitted notes and/or inverted. It is often abbreviated as Ebmaj11 or Ebmaj9(#11). In the latter case, the chord is played with a raised eleventh to avoid dissonance with the 3rd.
Omissions: Ebmaj11(no5): Eb - G - D - F - Ab.
Theory: The Eb major eleventh chord is constructed by extending the major ninth chord with a major eleventh note.
