A# major 11th chord
A#maj11 chord for piano with keyboard diagram.
Explanation: The A sharp major eleventh is a six-note chord. For practical reasons the chord is normally played with omitted notes and/or inverted. It is often abbreviated as A#maj11 or A#maj9(#11). In the latter case, the chord is played with a raised eleventh to avoid dissonance with the 3rd.
Omissions: A#maj11(no5): A# - D - A - C - D#.
Theory: The A# major eleventh chord is constructed by extending the major ninth chord with a major eleventh note.
